Mount Pleasant Calgary Apartments for Rent

Neighbourhood Overview

Mount Pleasant is a large, established community in north-central Calgary, developed primarily from the 1910s through the 1950s along Centre Street North. The neighbourhood features a broad mix of character bungalows, post-war homes, and newer infill at price points more accessible than adjacent inner-city communities, making it popular with first-time renters and long-term Calgary residents alike. The Centre Street corridor provides efficient bus transit to downtown and to North Hill Centre shopping. Confederation Park — one of Calgary's largest and most cherished urban parks with a public golf course, massive lawn areas, and year-round skating — runs along the community's northern boundary. One-bedroom rentals typically range from $1,400–$1,900/month; two-bedrooms $1,800–$2,500/month. Mount Pleasant offers genuine inner-city convenience at a step below the premium of communities like Hillhurst or Sunnyside. "Mount Pleasant is where you live when you want the inner-city lifestyle but not the inner-city prices. I pay about $300 less than friends in Sunnyside, Confederation Park is on my doorstep, and I'm on a bus to downtown in 15 minutes. It's a smart neighbourhood." — Devon C., teacher and Mount Pleasant renter
